Privacy Policy
Version 2.0 · Effective 28 October 2026 · Contact contact@kekere.online
This policy explains what Kekere collects, what other people can see, and how your information is used.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password. Your password is stored securely and is never shown to us or anyone else.
- Profile details: your name, photo, phone number, and location (state and city).
- Identity details: your NIN (National Identification Number), used for verification.
- Job details: the jobs you post, the bids you place, the jobs you are hired for, job photos, completion photos, and job messages.
- Payout details: the bank account a tradesman adds to receive payment.
- Credit purchases: payment details for buying bidding credits (Kekere's bidding currency) are handled by Paystack. Kekere does not store your card details.
Job payments are direct bank transfers between the client and the tradesman. Kekere does not collect or process job payments, so it does not receive your bank transfer details for a job.
2. What other people can see
| Data | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Job state and city | Public on every job listing |
| Job exact address and coordinates | Private. Shared with a hired tradesman only, at the client's discretion |
| Client name and photo | Hidden from the public job list; shown to a hired tradesman |
| Tradesman identity | Shown to the client on bids (name, location, rating, job count) |
| NIN | Never displayed in full; last four digits only, and only to the owner |
| Bank account number | Masked to the last four digits after saving |
| Full in your profile; masked in any public-facing view | |
| Phone | Full in your profile; never public |
| Paystack references | Never shown to any user |
A client's exact address is only ever shared after a bid is accepted, and only by the client. Chat opens when a bid is accepted and is read-only once the job ends.
3. How we use it
- To create and secure your account, and to sign you in.
- To show jobs and bids in the marketplace, and to match the two sides.
- To verify identity with your NIN before you can bid, buy credits, or open your wallet.
- To run job chat, and to keep a record we can review in a dispute.
- To send the emails Kekere sends about your account and your jobs.
- To keep the service safe and prevent abuse, fraud, and scams.
4. Who we share it with
- Other users, as described in section 2. You control what a client or tradesman sees of your private details.
- Paystack, to process bidding-credit purchases. Their own terms and privacy policy apply to that checkout.
- Your bank and the other party's bank, for a job payment. These transfers happen directly between users and are outside Kekere.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. NIN verification
Your full NIN is never displayed. The app shows only the last four digits, and only to you. Verification is required before you can place bids, buy credits, or open your wallet.
6. Keeping your data
We keep job records, chat history, and dispute evidence while your account is active. We also keep them for as long as we need to run the service and handle disputes. Account deletion is not currently available in the app. If you want your account closed, email us, and we will handle it.
7. Your choices
- You decide whether to share your exact address after accepting a bid.
- You can update your profile details in the app at any time.
- To ask what we hold about you, or to have your account closed, email us.
8. Age
Kekere is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The version and effective date at the top of this page always reflect the current policy.
